A bustling and vibrant city on the Caribbean coast of Colombia, it definitely has some great waves on offer for beginners. The waters are warm, waves are relatively gentle, and there’s plenty of other things to do in the city. Places like the Cartagena Jetty are super accessible and right in town, while spots like La Boquilla and Galerazamba offer some waves out of town. There are several surf camps and surf rentals in town. The best time is actually in dry season for consistency, or the North American winter.
